A heartbeat in every policy

Transforming Work into Worship: Finding Purpose Beyond the Pulpit

All these years in the trade corridors, yet still at one point I almost thought I wasn’t serving God enough. It was that intersection where my understanding of purpose aligned to one place, the pulpit. I guess it’s because I had always had a deep call to speak, teach, preach. This was right from my young days. In that moment of asking God whether trade was my space, He taught me something special. When your work is surrendered to me (God), it becomes worship.

You may be having the questions I had. So many voices, confusing moments. But here it is. We can not all be at the pulpit. We can not all be praise leaders. Yet, we can all be worshipers in the space that God has gifted us in. Some may say, “I am not gifted.” You don’t have to be gifted. You can grow your skill in that space. For in you is a deposit of something special.

When I see a father and mother selling their goods, I smile. They hope for a profit to cater for their families. This hope is because of the policy I contributed to. You may not hear it but God does, and he releases the blessing.

In that place I learned that every season of my life is worship to God. I don’t have to choose between the pulpit and the boardroom. God still needs me to fulfill His purpose in the boardroom. For every platform God gives is a pulpit.

About Me
Elizabeth K

I am Elizabeth Ritah Auma Kiguli, founder of Hearts and Trade. A place where trade is more than numbers, more than another well-crafted document. It is a place where numbers are names. Names we relate with, names we don’t personally relate with, yet in our work, it is about them all. Fifteen years, I got a story to tell, laughter, tears, betrayal, growth, friendships, negotiations…. let’s journey together
